The Bhutan Youth Development Fund Communications Officer is responsible for planning, producing, and overseeing the execution of marketing and communication strategies including media, publications, website, and all communication materials. This includes developing and publishing materials to deliver the organisation’s message to donors and the public. The Communications Officer will also oversee and assist with the organisation and coordination of conferences, meetings, and events that promote awareness.

Marketing and Communications:

  • Manage the development, production, and distribution of promotional materials for the Organisation, such as annual reports, e-newsletters, Dangsel, brochures, etc.
  • Manage the Organisation’s website and social media communications.
  • Develop, produce, and run marketing campaigns for online fundraising.
  • Shoot photographs and videos during events and edit them.
  • Write and distribute press releases and other media communications.
  • Be responsible for ensuring accuracy in information and proofreading.
  • Analyse marketing and communications programmes and make recommendations to adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.

Event Management:

  • Coordinate and run both online (virtual) and in-person events hosted by the Organisation.
  • Conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help staff make decisions about event possibilities.
  • Coordinate on-site arrangements for all events and meetings: event space, vendors, food and beverage, audiovisual equipment, decor, etc.
  • Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • Experience in the field of Communications.
  • Graphic design skills: Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Piktochart, etc.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in teams.
  • Commitment to the goals and mission of the Bhutan Youth Development Fund.
