Bhutan Youth Development Fund Announces Winners of the 17th Golden Youth Award

The Bhutan Youth Development Fund (YDF) proudly hosted the 17th edition of the Golden Youth Award, a prestigious national program that recognizes outstanding students for their academic excellence, leadership, talent, and community service. This year’s award camp brought together top nominees from across the country for a week of enriching activities, workshops, and assessments designed to identify Bhutan’s most promising young leaders.

We are thrilled to announce that Tenzin Yoedchenma Dorjee, representing Yangchenphug HSS, Thimphu, has been named the 17th Golden Youth Award Winner. Her exceptional performance throughout the selection process has earned her a fully funded scholarship to a renowned United World Colleges (UWC) school.

Additionally, we are pleased to share the Runner-Up winners:
• First Runner-Up: Milan Sunwar, Sherubling HSS, Trongsa
• Second Runner-Up: Kingyel Wangchuk Dorji, Bhutan Football Federation Academy, Thimphu
• Third Runner-Up: Euphelma Menza, Gelephu MSS

In an exciting development, this year’s First Runner-Up, Milan Sunwar, will also receive a fully funded UWC scholarship.

Both the Winner and First Runner-Up will pursue their education at prestigious UWC schools—UWC Canada and UWC Atlantic, Wales.

YDF extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the winners for their remarkable achievements. We celebrate their dedication and look forward to witnessing their bright futures unfold.
