The Golden Youth Award, one of the flagship programs of the Bhutan Youth Development Fund, is a prestigious platform for outstanding students in the country to inspire and motivate excellence among the youth.
The exciting and engaging weeklong 16th Golden Youth Award Camp, which began on 17th March propelled by the overarching vision of Developed Bhutan with the theme, The Future is GREEN, finally crowned its 16th GYA champion.
In acknowledgment of the challenging global need for sustainable practices, the BYDF has chosen to pivot this year’s GYA Camp on the theme, The Future is Green. The event is dedicated to fostering a transformative influence on the lives of Bhutanese youth and seeks to emphasize the significance of green mindfulness and the crucial role that the younger generation must play in sustainability.
Eden Lucky Tshomo from Ugyen Academy, Punakha took home the 16th Golden Youth Award followed by Palden Dorji from Jakar Higher Secondary School, Bumthang securing the 1st Runner Up slot.
Thinley Yoezer Phuntshok and Thegchog Loday from Pemagatshel claimed the esteemed title of 2nd and 3rd Runner Up in the 16th GYA respectively.
