Protection and Rehabilitation of Children under Difficult Circumstances

Protection and Rehabilitation of Children under Difficult Circumstances is one of the newest programs under the YDF. YDF has been supporting children in difficult circumstances by providing other means of help and support through scholarships, finding jobs for young girls and boys and also by providing shelter to young people experiencing alcohol and other drug dependency.

However, this year with the enactment of the Child Care and Protection Act 2011, YDF has identified Child protection under difficult circumstances as one of the core programs.

The main goal of the new program is to prevent and respond to violence, exploitation and abuse against children through provision of services provided in the form of transit shelter, fostering, and rehabilitation and reintegration into the society along with prevention services to protect children at risk of violence, abuse and exploitation.
